Welcome to Memory Gate Photography we are London and Surrey Wedding and baby Photographers Michael Shilling and Marcin Mieczkowski. Based in Epsom and Wimbledon we cover most areas of South West London for our location and baby portraits including Wandsworth, Merton, Kingston, Sutton an Lambeth. For our weddings we travel all over the country (and sometimes further) so please request a quote for wherever you've planned your big day. We worked in the photography industry for a quite while now and we pride ourselves on capturing hundreds of families' milestone monuments over the years. From a first meeting of a newly engaged couple to photographing a newborn portrait of their first baby, it's been our absolute pleasure to be an observer and documenter of those people's lives.

Portraiture is the passion that lies at the heart of everything we do. It doesn't matter if we're photographing a bride on her wedding day, a week old baby in someone's home or a 4 generation family portrait on Clapham Common. We hope to capture not only the expressions but the affection, animation, excitement, warmth and devotion. Photography can be just a simple as pressing a button but we see it a lot more than that which is why we put as much care and attention into every image we take, edit and present.We are specialist baby photographers and our most popular package for our London Mums is the 1st year baby photography offer Cherubs. The beauty of this offer is that we come to your own home and bring the studio and lighting to you. The mobile studio we have developed fits into any living or nursery and luckily into the back our our car too!
The Cherub sessions begin at around 3 month old just when your baby is starting to show into their own character. This session is all about stunning images with great expressions. We then return when baby is sitting up comfortable with a more elaborate studio set with different backgrounds and even the odd fake wooden floor.The 3rd session is all about the family, we do this when baby is walking and running about. These session are taken on location in a local park like Clapham Common, Beddington Park or Wimbledon Common.
If you don't want a whole year baby photography packages then we do offer single baby sessions and Newborn sessions. Our newborn sessions are a little bit different from most of our other baby photography photo-shoots as they can be a bit longer (but are just as much fun). Check out our Newborn section for more details.Family portraits are for the most part taken on location, this means we can have simple sessions with a single toddler or a whole extended family. These are always really relaxed and enjoyable days as we endeavour to make the photos that we take as natural as you are.

We see our main role at any wedding day as storytellers and not just photographers. We will be with you right from when the rollers go in till you hit the dance floor and as we always have two photographers at every wedding (Michael and Marcin) then you know that the boys will have just as much attention as the girls. Our Mantra has always been to focus on the people and the details. After all, this is what you spend over a year painstakingly planning. One of the best things about wedding photography is getting to know great new people and we like to do this not only at our first meeting but also in our engagement portrait sessions. These photo-shoots can be taken on location at your venue, at a venue, seaside or park near you or even halfway across Europe if you really want to! These photos make great save the date cards or some couple's even have them projected across the dance floor at their reception.
We try and keep our wedding packages as simple as we can but of course there is plenty of options for you to customise your own bespoke package.
